| Traumatic death and the resulting hazardous contamination are events which few people ever plan to experience. As such, the inconveniences that arise from these events, such as the cleaning and sanitation of the scene, are often difficult for people to handle when coupled with the death itself. ACSC welcomes the opportunity to relieve them of this burden . We provide prompt, discreet, professional cleanup services and make every effort to restore property as nearly as possible to its original condition. Blood and other fluids spilled from the human body, even in natural deaths, give off an offensive odor caused by bacteria. Any person entering an area where a body has been found should wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Most hard surfaces affected in these cases can be cleaned and disinfected with chemicals specifically designed for this purpose. However, porous items such as clothing, furniture, drapes and carpeting may need to be removed and disposed of in the proper manner. At the scene, our technicians will evaluate the extent of the damage and provide a written proposal for services. Once this proposal is accepted, our techs will immediately begin the restoration process. We clean, disinfect and deodorize all affected areas. All biohazardous waste is disposed of at a licensed medical waste disposal facility. Once the infectious pathogens and the waste have been removed from the scene, our techs will contact the client's designated representative and request that he or she return to the scene to inspect. We want our clients to be satisfied with our services, and will make every effort to address any concerns. If the client will provide the relevant insurance information, we will not require payment for our services at the scene. We will make payment arrangements with the insurance company. If the deceased was the victim of a crime, we will assist the client in obtaining payment from the Arkansas Crime Victims Reparation Board. |
